Meeting at car parking area at the beach in Castlerock to leave half the cars (point B).  This parking area begins just after the public toilets and extends along the beach front. No more than 2 persons per car to point B.

WE WILL BE LEAVING POINT B AT 10.30AM SHARP TO GET TO POINT A.
Note later time to allow tide to recede somewhat.
High tide at Benone is around 8.30 am.

8 Miles approx.

A mixture of beach, road and grassy track. The walk on the beach at Benone involves crossing over 3 small streams.  These come from Downhill cliffs and near the sea they dissipate and should be easily crossed.  However if there’s has been recent heavy rain/or tide is not as low as expected, this might be difficult.  I suggest we will bring a small towel and be prepared for a paddle!
