East Antrim Rambling Club Wednesday Morning Walks Autumn & Winter – 2018-19
Note:-		Walks start on 26^th September and subsequently take place on the 1^st & 3^rd Wednesdays each month, usually also on the 5^th Wednesday if there is one. Walks begin at the designated meeting point at 10.30am, unless stated otherwise. If travel by train is suggested, those not travelling by train should meet at the destination station entrance at the train arrival time indicated in the “Details of Walk” column. Anyone with a query about the start point or about transport should contact the walk leader

26^th Sept	Bangor. Marina - Castle Park - Walled garden – Ward Park - Ballyholme Bangor Seafront – Pickie Amusement Park. Meet in Marina Car park (Pickie end). 17^th Oct	Connolly Station Dublin – Ashtown. Meet in Central Station concourse at 07.40 for 08.00 Dublin train (or meet on train). Members should obtain a RETURN TICKET TO Dublin. (This trip is especially suitable for those holding a Senior Smart Pass). On exiting Connolly Station we walk along Amiens Street and North Strand Road to Newcomen Bridge. Our canal walk starts at lock No .1 and we follow the tow path bypassing the suburbs of Phibsboro and Cabra before arriving at our destination of Ashtown. Lunch at Halfway House PH. Return to City Centre will be by bus or tram. Walk distance: if returning by bus 5 miles and by tram 7 miles. Let Alastair know by 10^th October if you are coming. (Metro 8b (Malone) bus to House of Sport – every 15 minutes from Bus Stop in Bradbury Place, or at bus start point in Donegall Square East). If travelling by train disembark at Botanic.
