ASSEMBLY
POINTS & START TIMES
SUNDAY WALKS (unless otherwise stated) will
start from the grid position quoted in the programme
at the universal time of 10.30am. If interim meeting points (IMP) ie Carryduff, M1 Junction 6, Sandyknowes etc.are to be used on
a particular walk, then a time of meeting at these points will also be shown.
Members wishing to
arrange transport should do so in advance of the walk and adjust their pick up
time to suit the individual walk location. Ring the walk leader if unsure of
location of start point.
Transport costs should
be shared between driver and passengers.
Notes on Interim Meeting Points (IMP)/Car Sharing Points
(CSP):
·
Carryduff at the shops in Carryduff,
on Ballynahinch Rd, on the left 300m beyond the
roundabout.
·
Sandyknowes- just off Sandyknowes
roundabout, on hard-shoulder at start of A6 road to Antrim.
·
Junction
6, M1 at end of offslip from Belfast keep left onto A49 (Saintfield Road)
then immediatley left. Keep on turning left into the Carpark.
SUBSCRIPTION
- Single £25 Family
£40. To aid
administration members' name and address details are held on computer - anyone
objecting to this should notify the secretary.
DRIVERS - When in convoy, always keep in
touch with the car behind, especially at road junctions, and slow down or stop
if you lose sight of it. When necessary, give early indication to help the
following car take timely action. A-B WALKS- Travel with no more than 2 people
in each car. DRIVE FIRST TO Bfor the start time.
WARNINGS Make sure you are properly clothed
and wear/bring wet gear- bring a change of clothing for the return journey.
Leaders may, at their discretion, refuse to include in the party anyone not
suitably dressed.

ON PUBLIC ROADS - Pay attention to Highway Code
advice. Walk on the right facing on-coming traffic- unless circumstances
dictate otherwise - no more than 2-abreast.
